Tejo Sunset Boat Ride
Drift along the Tagus at golden hour on a traditional wooden boat with a local skipper.
About this experience
As the afternoon light turns amber over the Tagus, there is no better place to be than on the water. This 2-hour cruise aboard a beautifully restored traditional vessel takes you past the Discoveries Monument, beneath the 25 de Abril Bridge, and into the open estuary as the sun drops behind the Serra de Arrábida hills.
Your skipper knows these waters like a second home. He'll share the history of the river — once the departure point for every Portuguese ship that sailed to India, Brazil, and Africa — while you sip a glass of chilled local wine and watch the city glow.
The boat carries a maximum of eight passengers, keeping the experience intimate and the deck uncrowded. Blankets are provided for cooler evenings.
