Salsa & Kizomba Class
Learn the basics of Afro-Portuguese dance in a fun, no-pressure setting.
About this experience
Kizomba — a sensual, slow-paced partner dance — was born in Angola and brought to Lisbon by the Portuguese-African community. It's now one of the city's most distinctive cultural exports. This class teaches both Kizomba and a taste of Salsa in a welcoming, no-experience-required setting.
Your instructors are a couple who have been teaching dance in Lisbon's African community spaces for over a decade. The class is genuinely fun: beginners are expected to be bad at first, and the energy in the room makes improving feel natural.
No partner required — partners are rotated throughout the class. Comfortable shoes (no heels) recommended.
