Portuguese Board Game Night
Join locals for an evening of traditional games, port wine, and laughter.
About this experience
Long before the internet, Portuguese families gathered around card and board games that have been played in these neighbourhoods for centuries. This evening brings them back, with a group of locals ready to teach you the rules and take your money at Sueca, Bisca, and Porrinha.
Held in a converted Intendente living room, the evening is genuinely social — you'll be mixed in with Portuguese guests, not segregated into a tourist group. Glasses of port, ginjinha, and local beer flow throughout.
No experience with any game is necessary. The whole point is the learning, the laughter, and the competitive trash-talk that somehow transcends language barriers.
